In honor of my entering a new decade in my life, there are certain things that you can do in your thirties, that you can’t do in your twenties:

Take naps and not feel guilty: I don’t know what I would do without my naps, they help me function.

Get aches and pains without wondering why: In your twenties you should be feeling pretty good – your muscles and body functionality should be pretty decent. In your thirties you can complain about all the minor body nuances and put it down to getting old.

Sleep in and be proud of it: One of my favourite things to do on a weekend is to sleep in. Hey, all of you early risers, more power to you. I’ll take my extra sleeping time thanks.

Not giving a crap: You’ve put up with rubbish your entire life. Now is the time to say “No more! I’m old and don’t care what people think!”

Being forgetful: Not being able to remember names or details can be pretty frustrating. But when you’re in your thirties you have an excuse – getting old.

Here’s a picture of some donuts to cheer up all of the ‘old’ people reading this.

Attend an industry conference at least once this year
Get my U.S driving license
Get in shape
Eat healthier
Upgrade my coaching licenses
Become more organised
Launch a personal project
Spend more quality time with the Missus

That should just about do it…now it’s time to kick some arse.

It’s a great opportunity to meet like minded nerds from another mother. Just remember one thing: you can pretty much guarantee that they don’t like going to that ‘outside place’ either, much preferring the whirr of a computer for company. Sound familiar? Great! Then you’ll feel right at home…

See you there.

If someone had’ve told me nine years ago that I would be married, living and working in America, and owning my own home, I would have smacked them in the mouth and told them to stop talking nonsense. However, life is prone to strange twists and turns, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I’ve worked at Kinko’s, Ingram, a school photography studio, and dabbling in freelance web-design and search engine optimization on the side to help make ends meet. It took me almost three years to get my green card so I take my work very seriously. I want to be the best in everything I do. There is an opportunity to succeed in this country for every person who desires to do so.

My current job as an SEO specialist at Sitening enables me to work with some truly talented robots borg offspring people. My old portfolio site really was somewhere to display my work and offer my services. However, that is no longer the case – I am now unable to take on any extra work unless for family, friends or personal projects that have been in the pipeline for several months.

At one point I had this website (in it’s old form) number one in Google for the search term nashville seo. I didn’t get many jobs from that organic traffic, but it gave me a sense of pride. Now, honestly, I just don’t care where this blog ranks and how many people read it, I’m more focused on helping Sitening get to where it deserves to be – nationally and internationally recognised in the SEO industry as a leader in all things Search. Others can have the local rankings for nashville seo, it’s time to reach for the sky.

So, if you’ve read this blog in the past, I appreciate it. I think it was just you and my Mom who kept my feedburner stats above zero (just barely). It’s ok, don’t feel bad, go check out the Raven and Sitening blogs and all is forgiven.
